Looking back on July

As usual, I have totally fallen behind on the blog! I can't believe that summer is nearly over -- Kendal heads off to 2nd grade in just over a week. We've had a great summer this year!

July was filled with fireworks, camping and friends. We spent the 4th out in West and were treated to the best display in the area, thanks to the Smith boys, overspending neighbors, and totally lax aerial fireworks regulations. It.Was.Awesome!

We also headed out camping for the first time this year with our neighbors and new friends the Cowan's. Despite our plan not quite working out, we still had a blast camping at Maryhill State Park. There was lots of grass, a cute little swimming hole, and was conveniently located within minutes of a war memorial, museum, and yummy winery. Yea, we were really roughing it.
