As soon as the snow is gone, usually sooner, Jason is itching to go golfing. This year, he had someone begging to get out right along with him- Kendal! So we picked up some used pink clubs so they could hit the driving range together. Yes, I'm having visions of daddy-daughter bonding time and college scholarships already. I also decided to take lessons this spring and had a great time this week.
Next up, t-ball. We registered the kiddos to play on the same team as Deb's boys. Kendal is having a blast- telling me how she fields more balls, hits it farther and runs the bases with more skill than all the other 5 & 6 year old boys on her team. Exaggeration? Sure! But I'm again dreaming of scholarships. Reilly... well, he cried. A lot. Think we made a judgment error on this on, going to make for a long season.
At the house, we have a garden space. We're all really excited to planting and grow our own herbs (Jas), tomatoes (me), pumpkins (R), and sunflowers (K). The lack of consistent weather isn't exactly helping the cause. But in the mean time, Jas build a rockin' cold box last weekend and we got our herbs in. Yes, the cilantro is already dead- darn freezing temps! He's still planning on starting planter boxes this weekend, if the rain lets up.
