Back to school

Kendal's in second grade this year. She was very excited to start school and is off to a great start. She has been pretty happy with her teacher and was thrilled that "she is the science teacher" and also is very into teaching the kids about computers.

K is also the queen of tether-ball, telling me every day how many kids she beat at recess, their grade and gender. At the open house a couple of weeks ago, I watched her quickly defeat a little boy in her class who declared "it's not fair that you're so good, everyone talks about you at recess. No one talks about me." Um, I hope this is a good thing.

R is in his final year of preschool classes with Kara. He loves spending his time there (will likely continue with before and after school next year, just no more preschool) and does really well with the lessons. It's always fun when he randomly points out words to me that he recognizes on the fly, competitive second child.
