Adventures in parking

We got a hitch on the van last week so Jas pulled the trailer out to give it a whirl and practice setting it up (see previous post). Then came the time to park it. We figured this would be a breeze since Jeremy managed to get it in the spot on the first try - and in the dark - over the weekend, how hard could this be?

Well, it's hard. The driveway is a hill, the is van low to the ground and possesses a propensity to jack-knife, and did I mention our sweet basalt landscaping rocks? Yea... the photos say it all.

Grabbed some pics while Jas was off at Wal-Mart finding something.

The offender. Nice rock, huh? Feel free to come get it, it's in our way. Oh and check out the lovely tire marks all over the driveway, pretty.

By the way, the trailer is still in front of the house. Bet some do-gooder from our home-owner's association has a fit every time they see it. Geez, we're working on it people!
