Every now and then, we pass a parenting milestone. Those wonderful things that happen to other people but will certainly never happen to us... until this weekend.
Saturday: Reilly pooped while he was supposed to be taking a nap. Then he apparently removed his diaper, carefully dropping the poo in the middle of his bed, and tossed the diaper over the back of the bed. From what we can tell, he then went on to smear every little bit of loveliness into his crib sheet with his feet all while "pretending" to be napping. He finally started crying, presumably after cow got tossed, and was rescued.
Sunday: Kendal had a bit of a sour stomach early this morning. Thinking it was a one time incident, we took the kids to Blockbuster before lunch to pick out some movies. While at the store, she got "the look" and started running towards the bathroom which Blockbuster is kind enough to lock so it's rendered completely useless in case of emergency. I grabbed her and ran for the door and made it just in time for her to let loose on the sidewalk outside. I must say, it was memorable to hold my sweetie's hair as she did her business in front of the parade heading to the Starbucks next door for their Sunday coffee. Poor girl. In case you were wondering, she's fine now.
Aaah, memories!
